Why Chapel Themes?
Monthly chapel themes were implemented into The Bowery Mission's chapel five years ago. They came from wondering how effective 91 different chapel services are to the same homeless man who comes to the mission everyday. Since there are many presenters of the Gospel, many different services, many different styles, many different denominational backgrounds - how effective are these services?
Themes bring continuity to all the 91 services during the month.
A sign located above the stage in the chapel is made each month with the new chapel theme. Themes are also located on the Theme of the Month page on the Ministry Team website.
As a part of the Ministry Team, I urge you to use these themes as part of your message.
Themes are general statements that will attract the eyes and hearts of the community, as well as being Biblically based.
Themes are created to help YOU to prepare for the service.
