Pastor Reggie Stutzman,
Director of Chapel & Compassionate Care
Last Friday, October 17th, we had a great night - it was our 5th Annual Chapel Ministry Team Appreciation Night. "Raise Him Up" dance ministry started our evening with an awesome dance ministry to the Lord, Bethel Assembly of God worship team lead us into the presence of the Lord, and Daryl and Diana Doleman sang us into praise. Dr. Craig Mayes of Communitas Church gave a wonderful devotion from the book of Matthew.
The historic chapel of The Bowery Mission was filled to capacity with our BMDI students, community, church groups and to our amazement quite a few tourists who were passing by stood in the back of the chapel taking it all in as well.
It's is unbelievable that it was our 5th year to honor those who faithfully come to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to the hurting, lost and homeless.
Everyone seemed to appreciate the certificates, pens and ball caps with our Rel-e-vant theme we had last year as well.
The food was great too. We had wonderful food and service by the mission's kitchen. Watching everyone fellowship and get to know one another again is always a great joy of mine. I'm very glad to see those who come feel appreciated and loved on by the mission.
The greatest work that The Bowery Mission does each and every day is the Gospel of Jesus Christ shared over 91 different times within the month!
Thank you again to all those who were with us - I pray that God will continue to use you and fill you with His spirit as you minister here at The Bowery Mission!
